ENHANCING FUTURE SPECIALISTS’ DIGITAL COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE IN ENGLISH THROUGH THE 5T MODEL

Abstract

The rapid digital transformation of higher education has significantly changed the requirements for foreign language proficiency among future specialists. Contemporary graduates are expected not only to possess linguistic knowledge but also to communicate effectively in English through digital platforms, participate in online collaboration, critically process information, create digital content, and apply appropriate communication strategies in academic and professional contexts. This paper examines the pedagogical potential of the 5T model for improving future specialists’ digital communicative competence in English. In the present study, the 5T model is conceptualized as an integrated sequence of Target, Task, Technology, Teamwork, and Tracking. The model combines communicative language teaching, task-based learning, digital pedagogy, collaborative learning, and formative assessment within a single methodological framework.
