DEVELOPMENT OF A PROGNOSTIC MODEL FOR LONG-TERM SURVIVAL IN LOCALLY ADVANCED GASTRIC CANCER
Abstract
Despite significant advances in the diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer, locally advanced gastric cancer (LAGC) remains associated with poor long-term outcomes. The TNM classification remains the principal prognostic tool; however, patients with identical tumor stages often demonstrate markedly different survival rates, indicating that TNM staging alone is insufficient for accurate prognostic assessment.
