Abstract

This article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations for the scientific classification of pasture resources and the assessment of their productivity. Pastures were systematized by origin, agrotechnical condition, natural-climatic zones, duration of use and degree of anthropogenic impact. The interrelation of ecological, agrobiological and economic approaches in productivity assessment was substantiated.
