Abstract

This thesis analyzes the current state of onion cultivation in Uzbekistan, production volumes, results across regions, the effectiveness of agrotechnical measures, and natural, economic, and social factors affecting productivity. The importance of factors such as water supply, agrotechnics, variety selection, mineral fertilization, and pest control in the onion growing process is highlighted. The introduction of modern drip irrigation technologies, farm activities, and state strategies aimed at developing agriculture are also analyzed. According to the results of the study, the need to improve agrotechnical measures and widely introduce resource-saving innovative technologies to increase competitive onion yields is substantiated.
