ROLE OF FEEDING TYPE IN THE FORMATION OF COGNITIVE AND MOTOR DEVELOPMENT IN EARLY CHILDHOOD
Abstract
Early childhood represents a critical period for the development of neuropsychological functions, including cognitive, motor, and socio-behavioral skills. The type of nutrition during this stage is considered one of the key factors influencing the development of the central nervous system. Breastfeeding provides biologically active components that promote neuroplasticity and brain maturation, whereas formula feeding may limit these processes and is associated with an increased risk of developmental delay [1โ3]. Recent studies also emphasize the role of early nutrition in the formation of speech and motor functions.ย
