CROSS-LINGUISTIC ANALYSIS OF DERIVATOLOGICAL TERMINOLOGY: ENGLISH-RUSSIAN CORRESPONDENCES

Аннотация

The article examines derivatological terminology used in English and Russian through cross-linguistic research which studies how both languages use metalinguistic terms to explain word-formation processes. The study shows that English and Russian derivatology use the same Greco-Latin base for their terms yet they develop different methods to define and categorize word-formation processes.
