The rapid emergence and proliferation of new synthetic narcotic substances (NSNS) present an urgent challenge for global and national drug control systems. The chemical variability of such substances, coupled with their easy online distribution and limited detection capacity, undermines traditional legal and enforcement frameworks. This article explores the prospects for enhancing international and national control mechanisms against the spread of NSNS, focusing on regulatory innovations, international cooperation, and preventive measures. It emphasizes the role of forensic science, information exchange, and digital monitoring technologies as tools for more effective control and early identification of these substances. The study concludes by suggesting an integrated approach that combines criminal law measures, public health initiatives, and international data-sharing systems to combat the illicit trafficking of synthetic narcotics.
