Abstract

This paper examines the semantic and cultural aspects of color terms in English and Uzbek languages. The study aims to identify similarities and differences in how colors are perceived, categorized, and symbolically interpreted in both linguistic and cultural contexts. Comparative and descriptive methods were used to analyze common color terms. The results show that while some color meanings are universal, others reflect specific cultural values and beliefs, demonstrating the importance of understanding cultural connotations in language learning and translation.
