IMMUNE AND AUTOIMMUNE STATUS OF PATIENTS WITH POST-COVID ARTHRITIS
Abstract
Post-COVID arthritis is considered a clinically important post-infectious manifestation of SARS-CoV-2 infection. Persistent immune dysregulation after COVID-19 may include polyclonal B-cell activation, impaired immune tolerance, autoantibody production and complement-mediated inflammation. Comparison of systemic and local immune changes in blood serum and synovial fluid may clarify the contribution of these mechanisms to joint inflammation.
