Abstract

This article provides an in-depth scientific analysis of the technical, technological, and practical features of Automated Design Systems (ADS) used in modern clothing development. Rapid advancements in the light industry, rising global competition, and increasingly dynamic consumer preferences require fundamental changes in traditional garment construction processes. Hand-drawn methods and multi-stage physical sampling are no longer efficient in terms of time, cost, or labor. For this reason, Automated Design Systems (ADS), particularly CAD-based solutions, have become essential in modern apparel manufacturing. These systems cover all stages of clothing creation โ€” construction, modeling, grading, nesting, 3D virtual fitting, and technical documentation โ€” bringing precision, efficiency, sustainability, and design innovation to new levelsย
