Abstract

This article examines the role of digital pedagogy in supporting cognitive development in teacher training. It explores how innovative digital tools and methodologies foster higher-order thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning skills among pre-service teachers. At the same time, the paper highlights the challenges associated with the integration of digital pedagogy, including infrastructure gaps, insufficient teacher preparation, and the need for methodological adaptation. Drawing on international and local experiences, the article emphasizes innovative solutions such as adaptive learning systems, gamification, and neuro-pedagogical approaches, offering recommendations for effectively aligning digital pedagogy with cognitive development goals in teacher education.ย
