This article discusses diabetic neuropathy, one of the most common complications of diabetes mellitus (DM). According to several clinical studies, the prevalence of diabetic peripheral neuropathy is 30โ50% among all patients with DM, and some authors believe that idiopathic neuropathy is a marker of prediabetes. The role of timely diagnosis and early initiation of therapy for the successful treatment of diabetic neuropathy and the prevention of serious complications of DM is emphasized.ย
