Abstract

Authenticity has emerged as a key principle in modern language assessment, particularly within English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms. As assessment practices have evolved from discrete-point testing toward communicative and performance-based evaluation, the need for authentic assessment has become increasingly emphasized. Authentic assessment seeks to mirror real-world language use, requiring learners to perform tasks that reflect meaningful communication rather than artificial test conditions.
