Abstract

Workplace safety is one of the most fundamental dimensions of labour rights and social policy, directly affecting the physical and psychological wellbeing of workers across all sectors and regions. The concept of safe working conditions encompasses a broad spectrum of preventive and protective measures, ranging from the control of industrial hazards and occupational diseases to the management of psychosocial risks and the promotion of a genuine safety culture within organisations. Despite considerable regulatory progress over the past century, work-related injuries, illnesses, and fatalities continue to impose an enormous social and economic burden on societies worldwide.ย
