Abstract

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or adenoma is most often diagnosed in men over 40. Statistics show that the condition affects almost half of urologists' patients under 50. In patients over 70, the incidence is even higher – more than 80–85%. These World Health Organization statistics indicate a high prevalence of the disease among the global male population.
