Somatoform autonomic dysfunction (SAD) represents a complex neuropsychiatric condition characterized by polysystemic disturbances arising from suprasegmental autonomic dysfunction. This condition demonstrates significant clinical overlap with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), with 15-48% of IBS patients fulfilling criteria for somatization disorder. Current diagnostic approaches rely primarily on clinical assessment and exclusion of organic pathology, lacking objective biomarkers for precise diagnosis and treatment planning
