CHARACTERISTICS OF IRON METABOLISM IN RURAL PRESCHOOL CHILDREN WITH MILD IRON DEFICIENCY ANEMIA

Abstract

 For optimal implementation of programs for the effective and widespread prevention of iron deficiency conditions in risk groups, which have been implemented in recent years in the Republic of Uzbekistan with the support of WHO/UNICEF, including the use of prophylactic doses of medicinal iron or enriched iron-fortified common foods (e.g., bakery products), scientific data on the nature of iron metabolism in children, as one of the risk groups for anemia of varying severity, living in certain biogeochemical conditions, are absolutely necessary.
