Abstract

This article examines the role and importance of sign language in teaching children with hearing impairments at different stages of education. The study analyzes the specific features of communication tools used at primary, secondary, and higher levels of education, as well as the impact of sign language on speech development, cognitive processes, and social adaptation of learners.

Particular attention is given to the combined use of dactyl (finger spelling) and sign language, which enhances knowledge acquisition, communication skills, and independent thinking. The effectiveness of visual teaching methods and their role in facilitating interaction between teachers and students are also discussed.

The findings of this study contribute to improving educational strategies for children with hearing impairments and enhancing the quality of inclusive education systems.
