Résumé

Somatic phraseological units whose structure includes names of human body parts occupy a distinct and significant place within the system of phraseology. F. A. Vakk notes that somatic phraseological units constitute one of the most frequently used groups of phraseologisms and represent the most ancient layer of phraseology [Vakk, 1964]. Similarly, in German, the largest group of phraseological units consists of somatisms [Palm, 40]..
