Résumé

Chronic glomerulonephritis (CGN) is characterized not only by glomerular injury but also by progressive tubulointerstitial fibrosis (TIF), which is the strongest predictor of long-term renal function decline. Recent literature indicates that inflammatory mediators—including TNF-α, IL-6, monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1), and transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1)—play a central role in initiating and sustaining fibrotic processes [1,2].
