Abstract

This study investigates the gradual features of stress and intonation in French and Uzbek languages. The findings indicate that stress, melody, vowel length, pause, and rhythm interact to structure speech, enhance comprehension, and increase expressiveness. In French, stress is primarily quantitative, while in Uzbek it is dynamic and linked to placement and tone. Intonation plays a crucial role in oral communication and in the hierarchical organization of information.
