THE IMPORTANCE OF READING CULTURE IN THE SOCIALIZATION OF THE INDIVIDUAL

This article examines the importance of reading culture and the ability to comprehend written texts in the process of an individual’s socialization. At the same time, attention is given to the socialization process itself, its various stages, and its distinctive characteristics. In addition, the article analyzes views and theories on the individual and their cultural development within the framework of socio-philosophical disciplines. Particular emphasis is placed on a detailed analysis of sociological theories that explain the role of reading in the process of individual socialization.
