Résumé

This article analyzes the content of primary education textbooks "Mother Tongue" from a pedagogical and methodological perspective. The consistency of the topics presented in the textbooks, the suitability of educational materials for the age characteristics, their role in the development of speech skills, and their compliance with educational standards are studied. The system of tasks in the textbooks and their importance in the formation of independent thinking, listening comprehension, reading and writing skills in students are also highlighted. As a result of the analysis, existing shortcomings were identified and scientific and methodological recommendations were developed to improve the content of the textbooks.
