CLASSIFICATION OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS OF ENGLISH AND KARAKALPAK LANGUAGES
Résumé
This article presents a comparative analysis of phraseological units in English and Karakalpak languages. Phraseology, as a significant part of the lexical system, reflects the worldview, national character, and cultural traditions of a people. The paper examines the main types of phraseological units according to structural and semantic criteria, identifies universal and culturally specific features, and highlights similarities and differences between English and Karakalpak idioms. The research is based on the classification principles proposed by V.V.Vinogradov and A.V.Kunin and adapted to the specifics of the Karakalpak language.
