Résumé

This article explores the relationship between intertextuality and conceptual integration, two key mechanisms that shape the meanings of texts across contexts. Intertextuality refers to how texts reference, echo, or respond to one another, creating layers of meaning that go beyond a single work. Conceptual integration, also known as conceptual blending, describes how the mind combines elements from different ideas or texts to generate new insights. By analyzing literary and theoretical examples, this study demonstrates how cross-textual references and mental blending work together to enrich understanding and interpretation. The findings highlight that the creation of meaning is not isolated within a single text but emerges through the dynamic interaction of multiple texts and concepts, offering valuable insights for students, researchers, and anyone interested in literary studies, linguistics, or communication.
