This article explores the pedagogical foundations of utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to develop creative and critical thinking competencies among prospective primary school teachers. In the context of rapid digitalization in education, the integration of AI tools is transforming traditional teaching methods and reshaping teacher training approaches. Particularly at the primary education level, teachers must not only be proficient in digital technologies but also possess the ability to foster independent, creative, and analytical thinking among young learners. The paper analyzes current AI tools applicable in educational settings, examines methods for enhancing creative and critical thinking skills through AI, and identifies key challenges in the implementation process. Furthermore, it provides practical recommendations for preparing teachers to effectively integrate AI into their teaching practices and adapt to the evolving digital educational environment.
