Abstract

This thesis compares the foreign experience of developed and developing countries in building green-financing systems. It reviews the theoretical foundations of green finance, examines the European Union model, contrasts it with China's bank-centred approach and with the constraints faced by other developing economies, and uses Uzbekistan as a case study. It concludes with lessons for developing countries seeking to close their green-investment financing gap..
