Abstract

This study explores the cultural and spiritual significance of the pedagogical legacy of the eminent encyclopedic scholars of Central Asia and highlights its relevance to contemporary educational and formative processes. Special emphasis is placed on the intellectual and pedagogical views of outstanding thinkers, including Abu Nasr al-Farabi, Abu Ali ibn Sina (Avicenna), Abu Rayhan al-Biruni, Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, Mirzo Ulugbek, and other prominent representatives of the scientific and cultural heritage of the region. Their approaches to human-centered education, the value of acquiring knowledge, analytical and independent thinking, ethical formation, teacher–learner interaction, intellectual advancement, and the development of a spiritually and morally accomplished personality are considered within the framework of modern pedagogical theory. The research demonstrates that the intellectual heritage of these scholars possesses considerable educational potential for stimulating students’ cognitive engagement, reinforcing national consciousness, strengthening spiritual and moral qualities, and fostering respect for historical and cultural traditions. The analysis confirms that the pedagogical ideas of Central Asian encyclopedic scholars may function as an effective educational resource for enriching contemporary curricula, supporting students’ intellectual and ethical growth, stimulating their aspiration for scientific knowledge, and integrating national cultural values with universal human principles.
