Abstract

Reading motivation plays a crucial role in the development of reading comprehension and academic achievement. Motivated readers are more likely to engage actively with texts, employ effective reading strategies, and develop critical thinking skills. This article examines the relationship between reading motivation and comprehension, explores factors influencing learners’ motivation, and discusses practical ways to enhance reading engagement. The study highlights that intrinsic motivation, supportive learning environments, and access to interesting reading materials significantly contribute to better comprehension outcomes.
