Abstract

This article explores the theoretical and methodological foundations of selecting and developing language and speech materials in primary and secondary education. It emphasizes the importance of aligning materials with learners’ cognitive, linguistic, and sociocultural needs. The study highlights principles such as authenticity, relevance, and learner-centeredness in material design and discusses the integration of digital and multimodal tools. The article concludes that teacher competence and reflective practice are key to achieving effective and communicative language learning outcomes.
