Abstract

This article examines the formation of parts of speech and the development of morphological theory, highlighting its stages of evolution and its role in linguistics on a scientific basis. It analyzes the classification of parts of speech from ancient times to modern linguistics, as well as their grammatical features and the system of morphological categories. In addition, the views of various linguists are compared, and the theoretical foundations of morphology are revealed. The article serves as an important resource for students studying linguistics and for researchers engaged in scientific inquiry.
