Abstract

This thesis develops mechanisms for monitoring costs in real time, improving resource utilization efficiency, and increasing profit margins in mining enterprises through the implementation of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) financial modules. A review of academic literature and international practice shows that ERP adoption improves inventory and receivables management, enhances cost transparency, and optimizes maintenance and procurement control, thereby reducing production costs. However, the full profitability effect is largely determined by the duration of system use, the degree of integration, and organizational capability. The thesis outlines practical mechanisms such as real-time financial control (profitability analysis, asset management, procurement discipline, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis) across the P2P (procure-to-pay), M2O (mine-to-order), and R2R (record-to-report) value chains of the mining sector. Recommendations are developed based on international case studies and empirical research
