Abstract

In the context of globalization, preserving cultural identity in urban design has become increasingly important. This study examines how urban spaces in Karakalpakstan reflect and integrate local cultural elements. Using a descriptive and analytical approach, the research highlights the role of traditional architecture, ornamentation, and ecological adaptation in shaping urban identity. The findings show that combining cultural heritage with modern design enhances social cohesion and sustainability. Therefore, integrating cultural identity into urban planning is essential for creating meaningful and resilient urban environments.
