This thesis provides a scientific analysis of the essence of normative legal acts, the rules for their drafting, and the criteria for their classification. The structural composition of the legislative system, its key elements, and the hierarchical relationships among them are examined. The theoretical foundations for classifying normative legal acts by subject of law-making authority, period of validity, and legal force are elaborated.
