This article examines the study of occasional words in Russian and Uzbek linguistics, focusing on the characteristics of occasional words: speech (text) dependence, creativity, the perception of regular and irregular occasional words, the relationship between an occasional word and the linguistic norm, and the occasional use of occasional words. A word is an expressive, optional nomenclature, a synchronic and diachronic mixture of occasional words.
