Abstract

Endothelial dysfunction (ED) plays an important role in the pathophysiology of arterial hypertension and contributes to cardiovascular complications. Impaired endothelial function reduces nitric oxide availability, increases vascular resistance, and promotes vascular remodeling. Recent evidence emphasizes the importance of non-pharmacological interventions to preserve vascular health. Complex rehabilitation programs, combining structured physical exercise, lifestyle modifications, and optimized antihypertensive therapy  shown significant improvements in endothelial function. This thesis evaluates the role of such complex rehabilitation strategies in preventing endothelial dysfunction and improving vascular outcomes in hypertensive patients.
