Abstract

The early stages of a child’s education play a crucial role in shaping cognitive, linguistic, and creative development. Among the linguistic categories taught in primary school, adjectives—particularly color-expressing words—occupy an important place due to their potential to stimulate sensory perception and imagination. This article explores methodological approaches to examining the influence of color-expressing words on imagination in primary school students. Drawing on theories of cognitive linguistics, developmental psychology, and pedagogy, the study outlines effective strategies for organizing classroom activities that help young learners build mental imagery, enrich vocabulary, and enhance creative thinking. The article also discusses experimental designs for measuring the impact of color words on imagination, provides sample tasks, and offers recommendations for teachers seeking to foster imagination through language instruction.
