Abstract

In this article, based on scientific sources, the importance of transversal soft skills - communicative competence, creative thinking, collaborative work, and critical thinking - in the modern educational process is highlighted. The study analyzes in detail the methods, exercises, and pedagogical approaches developed by scientists of Uzbekistan, the CIS, and foreign countries. Also, the effectiveness of CLIL, STEAM, task-based learning, role-play, debate, mind mapping, design thinking in the development of soft skills is based on statistical data. The results of the real experiment on the development of communication skills, creativity, and critical thinking in students are presented in the form of a table, and in the conclusion part, the proposals necessary for the education system are highlighted. This research reveals not only the theoretical, but also practical significance of soft skills.
