Abstract

This thesis analyzes the modern criteria for assessing the quality of education and their significance in the pedagogical process. It substantiates that in today’s context, determining the quality of education should not be limited to assessing students’ level of knowledge only, but should also take into account such indicators as competencies, practical skills, independent thinking abilities, and social activity. Furthermore, the role of national and international assessment programs, rating systems, and monitoring mechanisms in improving the quality of education is highlighted. The thesis concludes that introducing modern assessment criteria into the educational process can enhance its overall effectiveness.
