Abstract

This study explored the role of a group-based mental health programme in promoting emotional well-being and social connection among university students. We examined the experiences of eight female undergraduate students who participated in a one-month group-based mental health programme using a qualitative design. Participants reported feeling less isolated, more emotionally aware, and more confident in managing personal and interpersonal challenges. The group-based intervention appeared to promote emotional well-being in the context of higher education by fostering emotional validation, shared understanding, and a supportive environment.
