This article analyzes the methodology for developing students' cognitive activity through the use of modern media technologies in physics lessons. The possibilities of forming cognitive skills in students, such as independent thinking, analysis, and drawing conclusions, through the integration of media technologies - virtual laboratories, animations, interactive tests, and digital platforms - into the educational process are highlighted.
