ORAL AND PERIODONTAL HEALTH IN ONCOLOGY PATIENTS: A CLINICAL AND LABORATORY STUDY

Abstract

The study included 103 patients aged 22–75 years with verified malignant neoplasms (solid tumors and hematological malignancies). All participants underwent a detailed стоматологическое обследование prior to initiation of chemotherapy. The evaluation comprised assessment of dental caries intensity, periodontal pocket depth, bleeding on probing, and oral hygiene status. Laboratory investigations included measurement of C-reactive protein (CRP) levels and complete blood count analysis. Statistical processing was conducted using Student’s t-test and chi-square test, with a significance threshold of p<0.05.
