Helminthiasis is a common parasitic infection in children, primarily affecting the gastrointestinal tract. It can lead to digestive disturbances, anemia, nutritional deficiencies, and impaired immune function. Clinically, helminth infections can vary from asymptomatic cases to abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, and allergic skin reactions. Laboratory tests are essential for accurate diagnosis and for monitoring treatment outcomes.ย
