Recurrent bronchitis is one of the most common forms of respiratory diseases in children, characterized by the recurrence of bronchitis episodes at least 2โ3 times a year. The disease most often occurs in preschool children, which is explained by the functional immaturity of their immune system and increased sensitivity to external environmental factors. Frequent recurrence of recurrent bronchitis leads to the formation of a persistent inflammatory process in the bronchial mucosa, impaired mucociliary clearance, and increased bronchial hyperreactivity. These conditions, in turn, increase the risk of developing chronic bronchopulmonary diseases, including bronchial asthma. Therefore, it is important to study the clinical and pathogenetic aspects of this disease and identify the main risk factors.ย
