Abstract

Value is "the importance, worth, or usefulness of something," whereas cost is only "the amount that has to be paid for something." A cost-benefit relationship can be defined as the amount that must be paid in order to obtain a financial benefit, or "profit," or alternatively as a non-financial benefit, or one that is hard to define in terms of money alone, such "quality of life
