SCIENTIFIC EFFECTIVENESS OF LASER TREATMENTS IN THE MANAGEMENT OF TERMINAL PAINFUL GLAUCOMA

Abstract

This scientific study investigates the clinical effectiveness of modern laser treatments in managing terminal painful glaucoma. The results of conservative, surgical, and laser approaches were comparatively analyzed. The research was conducted at the Eye Microsurgery Center in Bukhara region between 2023 and 2025, involving 40 patients diagnosed with terminal painful glaucoma.

Laser procedures, specifically transscleral diode laser cyclophotocoagulation (TSCPC) and endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation (ECP), demonstrated high clinical efficacy in reducing pain syndrome and lowering intraocular pressure.

According to the study results, the use of laser technologies plays an important role in improving the quality of life of patients with terminal glaucoma.
