This article examines the discursive features of euphemisms in Uzbek political speech. The study focuses on how euphemisms function as pragmatic and ethical tools in political communication, particularly in maintaining social balance and avoiding direct confrontation with the audience. The research is based on general materials of Uzbek political discourse, including commonly used euphemistic expressions in official and public political speech. A qualitative approach is employed, combining discourse analysis and linguopragmatic analysis. The findings show that euphemisms in Uzbek political speech are closely connected with cultural values such as respect, restraint, and andisha (social tact). At the same time, euphemisms may also serve to soften responsibility and reduce the perceived severity of political and social problems. The article highlights the role of euphemisms as an integral part of political discourse in Uzbekistan and emphasizes their discursive specificity within a national and cultural context.
