This article analyzes the invariant (unchangeable) and variable (variable) aspects of the process of teaching the mother tongue in the primary education system. The article reveals the methodological foundations of mother tongue education, the role of invariant and variable approaches in the formation of speech culture, grammatical skills, creative thinking and communicative competence in students.
