Abstract

Unrequited love has long been one of the most enduring and emotionally powerful themes in literature. From classical tragedies to modern narratives, writers have explored the pain, longing, and transformation that arise when love is not returned. Unlike mutual love, which often leads to harmony or resolution, unreciprocated affection creates internal conflict, psychological tension, and, in many cases, personal growth or destruction.
