Abstract

This thesis explores the key challenges in teaching English as a foreign language to history students. The study focuses on the complexity of academic English, difficulties in mastering historical terminology, student motivation, and the significance of the ESP (English for Specific Purposes) approach. Practical aspects of these challenges are illustrated through authentic examples from historical English texts, and methodological recommendations are provided.
